"Plant" is the time to ease our breath, senses, and body for training. "Water" is the time to lubricate our body with LMA walking and apply ease to our movements. "Nurture" is a time for movement diversity, nourishment, and somatic movement therapy. This is all to prepare us for "growth." You can also think of plant, water, nurture, and even growth as stages of a warm-up, easing the body into more spirited training.
Many practitioners, including myself, come to LMA with injuries—whether physical or emotional. These injuries can significantly hinder our physical ability and confidence to move. Nurturing our movement means connecting to the first-person experience of movement (somatic movement therapy), exploring our diverse movement options (movement diversity), and enriching our lived experience through movement (nourishment).
