Martial arts sparring, like many other physical games, is a variation of tag: touch without being touched. Tag serves as the game engine (framework), enabling game developers to develop new games on top of it and allowing players to explore the new framework. Each adaptation provides new avenues for talent acquisition.

In tag, we constantly adapt to the changing environment around us. We must perceive the movements and intentions of our opponents, make split-second decisions on where to run and how to evade, and coordinate our actions to achieve our desired outcome. Tag provides a dynamic and unpredictable setting where success requires a delicate balance of skill, creativity, and problem-solving.
