November 2025 Highlights: Part 1

This is a highlight from two recent muay Thai exhibition matches featuring LMAists (black headgears) from the Liberation Martial Arts Learning Lab.

It’s been over two years of LMA—no muay Thai coaches, no standardized drills, no exact techniques to memorize. Just adults coming together once or twice a week, exploring, organizing, and refining their movements. That’s it. With that small investment of time, we’ve done a lot—things other approaches can’t replicate, even with younger, more athletic participants. I’m 46 with degenerative disc disease and arthritis, for example, and I fought a 22-year-old amateur fighter.

Rather than telling you about it or having you assume, we show you what that looks like. Every kick, clinch, and exchange was grown from within the LMA framework—a pedagogy that builds martial artists through self-determined learning.

For us, liberation is not just the goal, it’s the pedagogy.
